Trumps Not Worst Infrastructure Plan Over The Next Ten Years
President Elect Donald Trump Plans to invest 1 Trillion dollars over the next decade to rebuild the U.S. which would be a huge boost to the steel industry. Trump will use the money to build and repair bridges, schools, hospitals, and electrical grids etc. which would increase steel demand in the U.S.
In a recent article in NWI.com , Kathryn Thompson, chief executive of the Thompson Research Group, said growth should continue for several years in a report prepared for the Steel Framing Industry Association. Non-residential construction is already close to what is nearing a historic peak, but she expects forward momentum to continue.
“Bipartisan federal and state support for rebuilding infrastructure—including highways, schools and hospitals, water systems and the electric grid—appears poised to help engender new private construction projects in areas served by that new and refurbished infrastructure,” Thompson said.
These are exciting times for the steel industry and leads us to believe the steel industry will rebound and we can start firing up the U.S. Mills and start making steel again. It is not certain when the plan will roll out but it cant come soon enough for the U.S. Steel workers.
